Johnbull grew up in a small village in Nigeria. His parents weren’t there to take care of him so he stayed with his very elderly grandmother. He had to walk for miles in order to get water and because money was scarce he had to work for food so he was unable to go to school.
He grew up feeling hunger pains from lack of food and a deep thirst because of a lack of water. He spent most of his child hood feeling a deep despair and loneliness from being deserted by my parents. As he grew older he spent nights on the street wondering where to turn to next. He felt completely abandoned and alone.
Then God began to do amazing things in his life. People started to come into Johnbull’s life that took care of him and loved him. Then a couple from England whom Johnbull had never met sponsored him to go to Youth With A Mission’s Discipleship Training School in Ghana.
While in Ghana God revealed to me that He wanted to do great things in the lives of abandoned children just like I was. He began to show me what needed to be done in Ghana and how to care for the people. Then God blessed me with my wonderful wife whom I met in Ghana. God took me from hopelessness and gave me a future.
My passion today is to give the children of Africa a life that I didn’t have: a home, love,
nurture, care, clothing, food and water.
