Dear Friends,
Do you remember the last time you opened an invitation to a charitable diner and your first thought was, “Not another one. I would give anything not to have to go.” We are inviting you to do just that and NOT show upfor dinner.
City of Refuge is a Non-Profit Organization that liberates children from modern-day slavery. We also educate people about human trafficking and motivate groups to get involved in stopping this injustice towards the vulnerable. During the month of October Johnbull and I will be traveling to Ghana, West Africa. Our financial goal for this trip is $25,000 and we are half way there!! The remaining $12,500 is needed to furnish the house in Ghana and rescue 12 children from modern-day slavery. The cost involved to rescue one child is $500.
On Saturday night, September 27, 2008 we are inviting you to NOT GO OUT TO DINNER. The cost of onemoderately priced dinner will help purchase the items needed to furnish the house for the children. We are asking that you give the cost of your dinner to the children in Ghana and send your check to City of Refuge.
